Network and associations

Rubber is indispensable. In almost every industrial application, products are needed as material, which are manufactured from rubber in one form or another. Thus, the corporate, economic, and even the economic-political ties of the market players among each other are complex.

In Germany, all of the activities in the rubber industry go through the wdk, the German Rubber Manufacturers Association in Frankfurt.

 

IRSG – International Rubber Study Group

At the international level, there is the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) in Singapore which is one of the most important associations in the world’s global rubber industry. The intergovernmental organization is made up of primary members from countries which produce and process the most rubber. Moreover, the IRSG is associated with an industrial body, whose members come from important companies and organizations in the rubber industry.

 

SNR-i

 

The IRSG is in charge of branch-specific projects. Currently the most important project is the Sustainable Natural Rubber initiative (SNR-i). Its goal is to establish a sustainability standard in the sector within the value-added chain of natural rubber products. TIMBERFARM is one of the first companies to join the SNR initiative.

TIMBERFARM is a member of the German Rubber Manufacturers Association and the International Rubber Signatory Group.
